Adding an Area

  1. From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.

  3. In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.
  4. Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click Actions icon. and select Edit from the list.

  5. In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.

  6. Go to the Area section, then click New Area.
  7. On the Add New Area page, complete the details.

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Enter a unique and meaningful name.

    The name should contain only alphanumeric characters and no spaces.

    Up to 255 characters can be used.

    Description

    Enter more information about the device.

    General

    Logical ID

    Enter a unique identifier for the device connected to the S1000 Controller. Allowed range is 0-254.

    Disarm Schedule

    Click + to find and select the disarm schedule.

    Auto Arm

    Toggle OFF or ON to automatically arm the area.

    Reporting

    Report Events

    Turn on the toggle to record events.

    Report To

    Select the connection paths where the recorded events will be reported.

    Select the checkbox next to the option on the drop-down list or select the Select All checkbox.

    High Priority

    Turn on the toggle to assign high priority to this device.

    Advanced

    Dual User Mode

    Click + to find and select the dual user mode.

    For example, it could be that in order to the user to enter this area, a supervisor user must be present so they can enter.

    Disable Area Count

    Turn on the toggle to disable counting of users within the area.

    Entry Delay Slow/Fast (sec)

    Enter the time range in seconds for the slowest and fastest time a user has to enter this area.

    Exit Delay Slow/Fast (sec)

    Enter the time range in seconds for the slowest and fastest time a user has to exit this area.

    Final Set Mode

    Toggle ON the Final Set Mode if the area is using a final set category input to enable the correct arming process. If a final set input is not activated during the valid exit timer, the system will not fully arm and will send a final set not received message to Sonitrol CORE after 5 minutes and leave the exit warning activated.

    Sequential Alarm Mode - BS8243

    Turn on the toggle to enable sequential alarm mode to comply with BS8243 standards.

    Armed Alarm Confirmation

    Click + to find and select the time period after which an armed alarm is confirmed.

    Disarmed Alarm Confirmation Time

    Click + to find and select the time period after which a disarmed alarm is confirmed.

    Warning Device Operation Mode

    Turn on the toggle to enable warning device operation mode.

    Extend Reporting Delay

    Click + to find and select the time period to extend reporting.

    Early Closure Alarm

    Turn on the toggle to enable an early closure alarm. If enabled, an alarm triggers when the area is Armed before configured Closing Schedule.

    Late Opening Alarm

    Turn on the toggle to enable a late opening alarm. If enabled, an alarm triggers when the area is Disarmed after the configured Opening Schedule.

    Early Opening Alarm

    Turn on the toggle to enable an early opening alarm. If enabled, an alarm triggers when an area is Disarmed before the configured Opening Schedule.

    Late Closure Alarm

    Turn on the toggle to enable a late closure alarm. If enabled, an alarm triggers when an area is Armed after the configured Closing Schedule.

  8. Click Create.
