Adding an Input
- From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.

From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.
- In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.

Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click
and select Edit from the list. -
In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.
- Go to the Input section, then click New Input.

On the Add New Input page, complete the details.
Field Description Name
Enter a unique and meaningful name.
The name should contain only alphanumeric characters and no spaces.
Up to 255 characters can be used.
Description
Enter more information about the device.
Basic Settings
Logical ID
Enter a unique identifier for the device connected to the S1000 Controller. Allowed range is 0-254.
Device
Select the configured device from the drop-down list.
Physical ID on Device
Enter the physical identifier for the input.This depends on the number of inputs present.
Category
Click + to find and select the appropriate category for the input.
Area
Click + to find and select the area where the device is located.
By default, the area with the lowest logical ID in the site profile is selected.
Hit Count
Enter the refresh rate for the filter to recognize a change in the noise conditions.
Latched
Toggle OFF or ON for this input to be a latched input.
Latched (Tamper)
Toggle OFF or ON for this input to be a latched tamper input.
Latched (Fault)
Toggle OFF or ON for this input to be a latched fault input.
Entry Delay Behavior
Click + to find and select the type of entry delay behavior. Microphone
Select the name of the microphone and speaker to initiate SIP calls when an input alarm is triggered.
Note: This field is available only when microphone is configured for the site profile.Is On Exit Path
Toggle OFF or ON to mark the input as being on an exit path.
Reporting
Report Events
Turn on the toggle to record events.
Report To
Select the connection paths where the recorded events will be reported. Select the checkbox next to the option on the drop-down list or select the Select All checkbox.
High Priority
Turn on the toggle to assign high priority to this device.
Report when Area State is
Select one or more area states to include in the report. To include all states, select Select All.
Report when Area Custom Mode is
Select oen or more area custom modes to include in the report. To include all custom modes, select Select All.
Advanced Settings
Self-Test Output
Click + to find and select the output to be used for self-tests.
Auto Self-Test
Toggle OFF or ON automatic self-tests.
Alarm State Reporting Invert
Toggle OFF or ON to invert reporting on the alarm state.
Report Trouble as Alarm
Toggle OFF or ON to report trouble events as alarms.
Select a function option for the input
Click a listed option for the input type:

Parallel Normally Open

Dual Door

Non-Supervised

Set Manually
Depending on the selected input function, the following fields are displayed.
Click Set to Default Values for the following fields, if needed.
Bias Resistor Value (ohms)
Enter the bias resistor value of the input.
Alarm Resistor Value (ohms)
Enter the alarm resistor value of the input.Toggle OFF or ON for the alarm resistor value to be normally open.
Tamper Resistor Value (ohms)
Enter the tamper resistor value of the input.Toggle OFF or ON for the tamper resistor value to be normally open.
Range Reduction Resistor Value (ohms)
Enter the range reduction resistor value of the input.Toggle OFF or ON for the range reduction resistor value to be normally open.
Masking Resistor Value (ohms)
Enter the masking resistor value of the input.Toggle OFF or ON for the masking resistor value to be normally open.
Fault Resistor Value (ohms)
Enter the fault resistor value.Toggle OFF or ON for the fault resistor value to be normally open.
Tolerance
Enter or select the tolerance value of the input.
