Creating a New Rule
- From the left navigation pane,. click Hardware.
- From the top navigation bar, click Rules.
- Find the rule set you wish to add a new rule to.

Click Edit on the rule set tile.

on the rule set tile then select Edit from the list.The Edit Rule Set page displays.

Click the Rules tab.
- Click Add Rule Set.
- On the Add Rule Set page, enter a Name and Description for the rule.
- Toggle ON for the rule to Run on change or to Run on device. By default, the rule is set to Run on device for profile rules.
- Choose a Color for the new rule set.
- Toggle ON for this rule set to be the default.
- In the Rule section, click New Rule.

The Add New Rule page displays.
Enter a Name for the new rule. -
For the rule's If statement:
- Select if the rule is to match All conditions or Any conditions.
- For the rule's If conditions, select the point type from the drop-down list and the associated event and any value statements, as needed.
- Continue to add new If conditions as needed.

For the rule's Then action statement:
- Select the target action.
- Include a duration as needed.
- Continue to add new Then actions as needed.

For the rule's When reset action:
- Select the target.
- Select the target action.
- Enter the time out period after which the rule execution ends.
- Click Create.
