Managing Roles
In Sonitrol CORE, roles define what users can access in your system. It is possible for users to have multiple roles.
When setting up your system, consider the access permissions that certain roles should have in accordance with your company security policy. You should map out the areas each role will have access to and the type of access they will have.

Access |
Access to physical locations within a site, normally using a card reader or keypad. For example, areas, doors and floors. Access roles are further defined as:

Callout |
A point of contact for specific tasks and/or events. |

Operator |
Manage and maintain Sonitrol CORE. |

Foreign Operator |
An operator role that can be shared with external organizations to perform certain specific tasks. This role cannot be assigned to operators that belong to the same organization as the role itself. |

External Operator |
A Foreign Operator Role created by the inviting organization is listed here. This operator role is external to the organization currently logged into (accepting organization). An operator who has accepted this role can log into the inviting organization and perform certain specific tasks they are authorized to. Only an operator of the accepting organization with permission to view and accept an external operator role can view these roles. The notification number indicates the number of operator role invitations the accepting organization has received. |
