Configuring the Audio 8 Board on the S1000

1. Connect the Audio 8 Board to the:

   • S1000 Controller by RS485.
   • Audio Converter Expansion Card using the audio bus.
   • A power source - either powered from the S1000 or an external power supply.
   • Add sensors to the Audio 8 Sensor Expander Card.

2. Log on to the Sonitrol CORE.

3. From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.

4. From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.

5. In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.

6. Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click and select Edit from the list.

7. In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.

3. In the S1000 section, select the specific S1000 Controller then click configure on the card.
4. Click the Path tab.

5. Enter the details for the ARC 2 (Secondary) Path.

   1. Select the Path Type to be SIA communication with the virtual receiver.
   2. Enter the Account Number as the panel display number.

   3. Enter the Receiver Number and the Line Number.

      These are required by the virtual receiver.

6. Enter the details for the ARC 3 (Tertiary) Path.

   1. Select the Path Type to be EDM Audio.
   2. It must use UDP over Ethernet.

   3. Enter 0 for the IP and port number.

      These fields will dynamically update when the API connection is made.

7. When the connection is made, you will be able to monitor, receive alarms on SONIP.

   The EDM streams the audio and commands can be sent to the audio detectors.

8. Add an Audio 8 Board to Sonitrol CORE.

9. Add an Audio Detector to Sonitrol CORE.

10. Add widgets to your site map to reflect the position of the audio detectors.
