Adding a VIGIL Appliance Camera

You must add a VIGIL Appliance camera to the site profile before you can add a VIGIL Appliance to the site.

1. From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.

2. From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.

3. In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.

4. Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click and select Edit from the list.

5. In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.

6. Go to the Camera section, click New Camera > Vigil Appliance Camera.

7. On the Add New Camera dialog box, complete the details.

   Field	Description
   Name	Enter a unique and meaningful name. The name should contain only alphanumeric characters and no spaces. Up to 255 characters can be used.
   Description	Enter more information about the device.

8. Click Create.

9. After a camera is added, you can add tags to the camera to associate it with alarm points with specific areas in Sonitrol CORE. For example, if Keypad 1 and Video 1 are both in the reception area, you can add the tag "reception" to both Keypad 1 and Video 1.
