Adding a Vault

You can add a maximum of 16 vaults to an S1000 controller.

  1. From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.

  3. In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.
  4. Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click Actions icon. and select Edit from the list.

  5. In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.

  1. Go to the Vault section, then click New Vault.

  2. On the Add New Vault page, complete the details.

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Enter a unique and meaningful name.

    The name should contain only alphanumeric characters and no spaces.

    Up to 255 characters can be used.

    Description

    Enter more information about the device.

    General

    Logical ID

    Enter a unique identifier for the device connected to the S1000 Controller. Allowed range is 0-254.

    Device

    Click + to find and select the configured peripheral device that is monitored for the vault status such as online, offline, tamper alarm and so on.

    Card Reader Interface Boards or Remote IO devices can be added as devices to the vault.

    Area

    Click + to find and select the area where the device is located.

    Contact Input

    Click + to find and select the input on the controller used to detect door open and door closed.

    Bolt Input

    Click + to find and select the input on the controller connected to the bolt position sensor.

    Seismic Input

    Click + to find and select the input on the controller connected to the seismic sensor.

    Locker Input

    Click + to find and select the input on the controller connected to the vault lock feedback output.

    Locker Output

    Click + to find and select the controller output used to control the Vaults lock.

    Close Warning Time (s)

    Enter the time in seconds to remind a person that the vault access time is about to expire.

    Open Delay (s)

    Enter the delay period in seconds before the vault opens after it is unlocked.

    Hasten Time (s)

    Enter the time in seconds to which the open delay time is shortened when the

    The open delay time will be shortened to the time period specified here only if Auto-Hasten is enabled for the Touch Keypad used to access the vault.

    Unlock Time (s)

    Enter the time in seconds a vault can remain open before an ajar alarm is triggered.

    Access Time (s)

    Enter the time in seconds until the vault can be open after which an ajar alarm is triggered.

    Reporting

    Report Events

    Turn on the toggle to record events.

    High Priority

    Turn on the toggle to assign high priority to this device.

    Report To

    Select the connection paths where the recorded events will be reported.

    Select the checkbox next to the option on the drop-down list or select the Select All checkbox.

    Report Timer Updates

    Toggle ON to report timer events.

  3. Click Create.
