Adding a Door
- From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.

From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.
- In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.

Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click
and select Edit from the list. -
In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.
- Go to the Door section, then click New Door.

On the Add New Door page, complete the details.
Field
Description
Name
Enter a unique and meaningful name.
The name should contain only alphanumeric characters and no spaces.
Up to 255 characters can be used.
Description
Enter more information about the device.
General
Logical ID
Enter a unique identifier for the device connected to the S1000 Controller. Allowed range is 0-254.
Category
Click + to find and select the category of the door, either Normal or Entry/Exit.
Reader In
Click + to find and select the reader used for entry through the door.
Reader Out
Click + to find and select the reader used for exiting through the door.
Door Contact Input
Click + to find and select the input on the controller to be used for door contact monitoring.
Allow Egress When Locked
Turn on the toggle to allow users to exit when the door is in locked state.
Egress Input
Click + to find and select the input on the controller to be used for egress to grant access to a door using a push button or similar.
Auto Egress
Turn on the toggle to automatically allow egress.
Strike Output
Click + to find and select the output on the controller to be used to activate the electronic strike on a door so the door can be opened.
No Strike On Egress
Turn on the toggle to prevent the door from being activated when the user is exiting. Used when a card is required to seal an area, but access to the area is not required. In some instances, door strike activation can cause extra delays because of large timed bolts.
Strike Input
Click + to find and select the input on the controller to be used to activate the electronic strike on a door so the door can be opened.
Bolt Output
Click + to find and select the output on the controller used to activate the bolt on the door so the door can be opened.
Lock
Click + to find and select the type of lock used on the door. This setting controls the locking behavior of the door strike mechanism after a valid card swipe and is designed for different functionality based on the door lock type. Available options are:

Normal - Select to make the door strike reset as soon as the door is opened. If the door is not opened, the strike resets after the Strike Time setting expires.

Magnetic - Select for electronically operated magnetic door locks, where after the door is opened, the system waits for the Strike Time setting to expire before re-energizing the magnetic lock.

Bolt - Select for electronically operated door locking bolts, where after the door is opened, the system waits for it to be fully closed again, regardless of Strike Time setting, before power can be applied to the locking bolt.
Anti-Passback Operation
Click + to find and select the type of anti-passback function to be used for the door. The available options are:

Hard - An anti-passback event is logged. User is denied access through the door if anti-passback is violated.

Soft - An anti-passback event is logged. User is granted access through the door even if anti-passback is violated.

Timed - An anti-passback event is logged. User is denied access through the door until the anti-passback time period has passed.

None - Anti-passback is disabled.
Note: Ani-passback restrictions do not apply for a user with supervisor privileges.Strike Time (sec)
Enter the time in seconds the door remains open after it is unlocked.
Shunt Time (sec)
Enter the time in seconds to allow people to enter or exit through the door. If the door remains open after this time has passed, a door open too long alarm is triggered.
Embarrassment Time (sec)
Enter the time in seconds to remind a person that an entry or exit must be made through the door before triggering the door alarm.
Maximum allowed value is 65535 seconds.
Anti-Passback Time (sec)
Enter the time in seconds to prevent a user from entering the same door twice during the set time.
Extended Time (sec)
Enter the extra time in seconds to allow a person to enter a door.
This may be necessary for a person in a wheelchair to navigate entry through a door or a delivery person with bulky items to enter through the door.
Strike Release Delay (milliseconds)
Enter the time in milliseconds between the door strike and the release button to cause a delay between the button being pressed and the door opening.
The minimum value is 100ms.
Suspend Unlock Schedule While Area is Armed
If turned on, the area state overrides the door schedule. When an Area is in Armed state, the door is automatically secured, even if the schedule specifies that it should be unlocked.
Schedules
If door schedules are not defined, normal mode operation applies. Access cards can be used for entry and exit.
If locked or unlocked schedules are not defined for a door, the door remains in the normal state and normal access is allowed.
Locked Schedule
Click + to find and select a schedule for when the door remains locked and cannot be accessed.
If Allow Egress When Locked option is enabled,
If a schedule is defined and the time is valid, the door remains in a locked state.
If a schedule is timed and the time is invalid, the door remains in the normal state or the state defined by the unlocked schedule.
The locked schedule overrides the unlocked schedule.
Unlocked Schedule
Click + to find and select a schedule for when the door remains unlocked.
Card and PIN Schedule
Click + to find and select a schedule for when a card and PIN is to be used to access the door.
Card or PIN Schedule
Click + to find and select a schedule for when a card or PIN is to be used to access the door.
Egress Schedule
Click + to find and select a schedule for when an egress button is to be used.
If no schedule is used, then egress will always work.
Reporting
Report Events
Turn on the toggle to record events.
Report To
Select the connection paths where the recorded events will be reported. Select the checkbox next to the option on the drop-down list or select the Select All checkbox.
High Priority
Turn on the toggle to assign high priority to this device.
Do Not Send Forced
If this toggle is turned on, forced alarm.
Do Not Send Ajar
Toggle OFF or ON to send an ajar alarm.
Latch Force/Trouble
If this toggle is turned on, latch forced / trouble alarm.
Turn on this toggle to latch
