Adding a SMTP Gateway Service

  1. From the left navigation pane, click System.
  2. From the top navigation bar, click Services. You can also click Features on the top navigation bar and click Services in the System Menu section.

    All the current available services are listed on the External Services page.

  3. Click Add Service.
  4. Complete the details.

    Field

    Description

    Service Type

    Select SMTP Gateway from the drop-down list.

    Name

    Enter a unique name for this service.

    Description

    Enter more details about the service.

    Organization

    The default organization is Global.

    To choose a different organization, click x to remove the default, then find and select a different organization.

    SMTP Gateway Configuration

    SMTP Server Address

    Enter the address of the email server.

    SMTP Server Port

    Enter the port number of the email server.

    SSL

    Toggle OFF or ON the secure sockets layer for security.

    Username

    Enter the username to access the gateway on the SMTP Server.

    Password

    Enter the associated password for the username to access the gateway on the SMTP Server.

  5. Once the details are entered, click Test Connection.

    Make sure that a connection is made to your SMTP Server.

  6. Create a Custom Template that can be selected for specific emails that will be sent.

  7. Click Create.
