Adding a PowerG Host in Sonitrol CORE
Before you can add any PowerG device, you must add the PowerG host to Sonitrol CORE. You can add a maximum of one PowerG host to a site.
- Log on to the Sonitrol CORE.
- From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.

From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.
- In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.

Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click
and select Edit from the list. -
In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.

In the Device section, click New Device and select PowerG from the drop-down list.
- In the Add New PowerG Host wizard, choose the Default Template in the Select Template page.
- Click Next.

On the Add PowerG Host page, complete the details.
Field
Description
Name
Enter a unique and meaningful name.
The name should contain only alphanumeric characters and no spaces.
Up to 255 characters can be used.
Description
Enter more information about the PowerG host.
General
Logical ID
Enter a unique identifier for the device connected to the S1000 Controller. Allowed range is 0-254.
Area
Click + to find and select the area where the device is located.
Product Type
Click + to find and select PowerG Host.
Product Model
Select the PowerG host model as HSM2HOST9-915MHz.
Device Loop Address
Se the device loop address as 16.
Note: The OSDP device address for PowerG host is set to 16 and cannot be modified.Parent
Click + to find and select Controller as the parent.
Serial Port
Click + to find and select the port where the PowerG host is connected on the S1000.
Reporting
Report Events
Turn on the toggle to record events.
Report To
Select the connection paths where the recorded events will be reported. Select the checkbox next to the option on the drop-down list or select the Select All checkbox.
High Priority
Turn on the toggle to assign high priority to this device.
- Click Next.

On the Create Additional Points screen, click Create.
If applicable, Sonitrol CORE automatically creates the associated inputs.
You can now add PowerG devices to the Platform.
