Modbus Devices

The S1000 Controller supports the use of Modbus devices by becoming a Modbus host then polling a third party Modbus device.

Each Modbus device is given a unique address on the RS485 bus. Up to 8 Modbus devices can be added to the S1000 Controller.

Note: This configuration makes the RS485 bus exclusive to the Modbus RTU. An OSDP and Modbus cannot operate on the same connection.
A Modbus device can also be connected using Ethernet, if it is supported.

  • Generic devices.
