Remote IO
The Remote IO is a versatile module that can be used for access control, intrusion alarm functions, or a combination of both.
For access control applications, the Remote IO supports two Wiegand readers. If additional readers are required, the Card Reader Interface expansion cards (SE1-CRI-PCB) can be added, allowing support for up to 8 readers in total. The board also supports up to 8 OSDP readers connected through its PL6 port.
The Remote IO supports the following onboard devices without any expansion cards:
- 8 analog or digital inputs
- 2 relay outputs
- 3 O/C outputs
- 1 onboard door
It has a built-in battery charger, Ethernet port and 2 OSDP ports.
The Remote IO can support up to 1000 users in an offline degraded mode.
If the Remote IO loses connection to the S1000 Controller, users can continue to access connected doors using degraded mode. Up to 1000 offline transactions are stored locally and will be reported to the controller after the Remote IO reconnects.
Degraded mode user access will expire 24 hours after the last valid login.
