Wiring the Alarm Keypad

The connection pairs PL4-PL5 or PL5-PL6 on the S1000 Controller can be used to wire the Alarm Keypad using standard wiring or a cable harness.

Connection pairs on the S1000 Controller to use to wire the Alarm Keypad.

Standard connections are normally used for the Display Reader (SD1-STD) and Alarm Keypad (SD1-TKD). The Display Reader is not UL verified.

Isolated RS485: PL4 and PL5 connection

Standard wiring of the Alarm Keypad using PL4-PL5 connections on the S1000 Controller.

Non-isolated RS485: PL5 and PL6 connection

Standard wiring of the Alarm Keypad using PL5-PL6 connections on the S1000 Controller.

Cable harness wires are color coded for convenience.

Note: A cable harness connection is currently only for the Alarm Keypad (SD1-TKD).
