Adding an Inovonics Receiver to the S1000

If only security devices (for example, pendants and contact transmitters) are used, then either the EN4000 Universal Serial Receiver or the EN4200 Security-only Serial Receiver can be used.

However, if you are using environmental devices (for example, voltage, temperature transmitters), the EN4000 Universal Serial Receiver must be used.

1. Log on to the Sonitrol CORE.
3. From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.

4. From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.

5. In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.

6. Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click and select Edit from the list.

7. In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.

3. In the S1000 section, select the specific S1000 then click configure on the tile.
4. Click the Serial tab.

5. In the Isolated section, complete the details for the receiver:

   Note: The Inovonics Reader can only connect to the S1000 using the Isolated PL4-PL5 connection pair.

   Field	Description
   Protocol Type	Select Inovonics from the drop-down list.
   Baud Rate	Select 19200 from the drop-down list.
   Parity	Select None from the drop-down list.
   Stop Bits	Select One from the drop-down list.

6. Click Reset.
