Creating a HikVision Face Reader
- Log on to the Sonitrol CORE.
- From the left navigation pane, click Hardware.

From the top navigation bar, click Profiles.
- In the Hardware Profiles page, find and select the site profile to which you wish to add a device.

Click Edit on the profile tile. You can also click
and select Edit from the list. -
In the Edit Profile page, click the Configurations tab.

Go to the Device section, click New Device then select HikVision Face Reader from the drop-down list.
The Add New HikVision Face Reader wizard displays.

On the Select Template page, choose the Default Template.
All relevant configuration points are automatically mapped.
- Click Next.

On the Add HikVision Face Reader page, complete the details.
Field
Description
Name
Enter a unique name for the HikVision Face Reader.
The name should only contain alphanumeric characters and no spaces.
Up to 255 characters can be used.
Description
Enter more information about the HikVision Face Reader.
General
Logical ID
Enter a unique identifier for the device connected to the S1000 Controller.
Show Face On Screen
Toggle OFF or ON for faces to be displayed on the face reader screen.
Overlay User Info On Screen
Toggle OFF or ON for user's information to be displayed on the face reader screen.
Upload Faces with Events
Toggle OFF or ON for faces to be uploaded with events.
Save Face Log On Device
Toggle OFF or ON for logs of faces to be saved on the device.
Voice Prompt
Toggle OFF or ON voice prompts.
Access Control
Verification Mode
Select the verification mode required for log in, from the drop-down list.
Thermal Detection
Slide the toggle to the left or right to turn off or on thermal detection. The following fields display if thermal detection is on.
Enable Temperature Event
Toggle OFF or ON temperature events to be logged.
Allow Access On Abnormal Temperature
Toggle OFF or ON allowing access for abnormal temperatures detected.
Only Authenticate Using Temperature (Ignores Access Control Settings)
Toggle OFF or ON to only authenticate using temperature readings.
If this field is on, the Access Control Verification Mode is ignored.
High Thermal Threshold (°C)
Enter the maximum temperature in °C.
Low Thermal Threshold (°C)
Enter the minimum temperature in °C.
Face Mask Detection
Slide the toggle to the left or right to turn off or on face mask detection. The following fields display if face mask detection is on.
Face Mask Detection Strategy
Select a face mask detection strategy from the drop-down list.
- Click Next.

On the Create Additional Points page, click Create.
