Connections

Any device connected to the data ports (RS485, RS232 or Ethernet) of the S1000 Controller, with an external power supply providing power to the system, must comply with ITE (Information Technology Equipment) Safety Standard EN 60950-1:2006 + A2:2013 or EN 62368-1:2014 for Europe or CSA/UL 60950-1:2006 + A2:2013 or 62368-1:2014 for Canada for respective regional compliance.

All communication between controllers and the supervising station receiving equipment is protected by message data encryption and communication connection authentication using industry-standard encryption.
