Importing Organization

As an administrator, you can import an organization or a template from a different Sonitrol CORE instance or different parent organization.

Before you begin

Export the details of the source organization to an Excel file. For more information, see Exporting Organizations.

1. Click System on the left navigation pane.

2. There are 2 ways to get to the Organization structure page:

   • Click Organizations on the top navigation bar.

   or

   • Click Features on the top navigation bar. Then in the System Menu section, click Organizations.

   All the current available organizations are listed on the Organization structure page.

3. To import an organization at the global level, click Import on the action bar.

4. To import an organization as a child of an existing organization, select the destination organization in the list and click Details. Click Import on the action bar.

5. In the Import Organization page, enter a Prefix for the imported organization. The value entered here will be added as a prefix to all the elements in the new organization.

6. Upload or drag and drop the exported Excel file and any supporting files including images from the source organization.

7. Click Import.

A new organization is created with all the details from the uploaded Excel file. All objects have the same properties as the source organization except the name. Object names include the Prefix and the time stamp.
