Advanced Install

Before starting the installation, make sure that you have a:

• License File
• stable internet connection for online installation.

1. On the Installation Types screen, select Advanced Install.

2. On the License screen, choose the license file.

   The license file contains all the available features that you have purchased.

3. Click Next.

4. On the Version screen, select the Sonitrol CORE version to install.

   There are 2 available options:

   • Offline - installs the Sonitrol CORE version included in the installation files.

     Tip: If the images in the arcoImages.tar.gz package have been loaded, the Offline option is available. If the images in the arcoImages.tar.gz package have not been loaded, this option is not available.
   • Online - installs the latest online Sonitrol CORE version.
5. Click Next.

6. On the Integrations screen, select the integrations to install.

   The number of integrations allowed for the installation is based on the License File and is displayed along the bottom of the Integrations screen.

7. Click Next.

8. On the Database screen:

   To install on the same system

   1. Toggle OFF External Connection.

      If toggled OFF, the database is installed on the same system. A containerized database server is created as well as the Sonitrol CORE Server.

   2. Select the database type that is to be created from the drop-down list.

      If Microsoft SQL Server is selected, the Database Recovery Type must be changed from Full to Simple.

   To install on an external system using default settings

   1. Toggle ON External Connection.

      If toggled ON, the database is installed from an external system.

   2. Toggle OFF Manual Edit.

      The default server connection strings are used.

   3. Select the database type that is to be created from the drop-down list.

   4. Enter the external SQL Server IP address.

      You can also use localhost if the server is on the same computer. The entered address is used in the connection strings.

   5. Enter the Port for the host computer that will be connected to the container.

   6. Enter the administrator Username and Password for the SQL Server.

      The administrator must have database owner, creator and administrator privileges.

   7. Click Test Connection.

      This allows you to test the connection to the external database. Only a successful connection enables you to go to the next step.

   To install on an external system by manually adding the connection strings

   1. Toggle ON External Connection.

      If toggled ON, the database is installed from an external system.

   2. Toggle ON Manual Edit.

      This will allow you to edit the server connection strings.

   3. Select the database type that is to be created from the drop-down list.

      The database is created and/or overridden during the install.

   4. Enter the SQL Connection strings for the core configuration of Sonitrol CORE.
   5. Enter the Status Connection for system events and status changes.
   6. Enter the Status View Connection for system events and status changes in other databases.
   7. Enter the View Connection for data in other databases.
   8. Enter the Image Connection for system media images, user images, system icons and site maps.
   9. Enter the Action Connection for system commands and alarms.

   10. Click Test Connection.

       This allows you to test the connection to the external database. Only a successful connection enables you to go to the next step.

9. Click Next.

10. On the Domain and SSL Certificates screen:

    1. Toggle ON or OFF Use Custom Domain to access Sonitrol CORE.

    2. Toggle ON or OFF Upload Custom Certificate and server keys.

       By default, a self-signed SSL certificate is generated and the default domain is localhost.

    3. Enter the Custom Domain.
    4. Choose the Server Certificate file.
    5. Choose the Private Key file.
11. Click Next.

12. On the Log-in Branding screen, you can set up custom branding for the Sonitrol CORE log in screen.

    1. Toggle ON Upload Custom Branding.
    2. Choose the SVG file for the Login Logo.

    3. Choose the file for the Login Background.

       A PNG file for the log in screen background is preferred.

13. Click Next.

14. On the Account Setup screen, enter the Administration Password for Sonitrol CORE.

    The default administrator username is admin.

    Then Re-Type Password.

    The password must:

    • match
    • have 10 characters or more
    • contain a lowercase letter
    • contain an uppercase letter
    • contain a number
    • contain a symbol.
15. Click Next.
16. On the Install Overview screen, make sure that you review all the installation options you have chosen.
17. Click Install.
