Prerequisites
All system requirements must be met before installing Sonitrol CORE.
The following prerequisites are also required before installing Sonitrol CORE:
- You must have either a public or local domain name specifically for Sonitrol CORE.

SSL/TLS certificates are required for:
- Sonitrol CORE Server validation by internet browsers (provided by client)
- S1000 Controller validation by the Sonitrol CORE Server (provided by Sonitrol).
A SSL/TSL certificate requires a CSR file generated with the organization's details.

SQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL administrator credentials are required to connect Sonitrol CORE containers to the externally hosted Database Server using various connection strings.
Database creation must be done by users who have a database creator or administrator role.
Note: MySQL is not supported for new installations. However, you can upgrade existing deployments. -
The server hardware must be capable of virtualization and have it enabled in the BIOS.

The following port numbers are required by Sonitrol CORE to communicate externally:
- Port 443 - for Sonitrol CORE web client HTTPS connections.
- Port 7016 - for S1000 Controller communication.
- The user installing Sonitrol CORE must have super user or administrator privileges to install Docker / Sonitrol CORE.
